Choosing the right matting options Select a mat color that coordinates with the overall tones in the print. Neutral colors are great for “opening up” the light in the artwork, while bold colors are often good for making a statement. A second, bottom mat is great for creating contrast; for example, when a neutral top mat is used, select a darker color for the bottom mat that accents the highlights in the print. << Back
